Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Inflection Point. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. Features described as planned apply only when that version becomes available; this website does not announce a public release date.
1. Purpose and eligibility
Inflection Point supports identity-based planning, quests and reflection. It is for personal development and does not replace therapy, medical advice or mental-health treatment. It does not guarantee a personal, financial or health outcome.
You must meet applicable law and Apple account requirements. You are responsible for access to your device and Apple account, the content you enter, and the copies you export or share. No separate Inflection Point login is required.
2. One-time access
The planned release requires a single lifetime purchase to unlock the core protocol. It has no free trial, ongoing free tier or recurring subscription. Lifetime access includes the full saved reflection history. Export and recovery of existing data remain available without a purchase; these utilities do not create a free protocol tier.
Earlier Expo versions and native betas offered preview and free access. Historical preview and usage records are retained during migration and reset; they do not create a trial in the planned release. Earlier native betas limit free-history visibility while retaining older saved entries. Earlier Expo versions can permanently prune older daily logs under their free-history limit. Previously deleted entries cannot be recovered merely by upgrading or purchasing lifetime access.
3. Lifetime purchase, pricing and restore
Lifetime access is a single non-consumable purchase with no auto-renewal. The planned US price is US$14.99; Apple’s displayed price and currency at purchase apply, and other storefront prices may differ. Payment and refunds are handled by Apple under its applicable policies.
Planned lifetime access includes the guided reset, daily quests, synthesis, unlimited projects, full saved history and complete journey export. On-device AI debriefs depend on Apple Intelligence compatibility and model readiness. Optional Image Playground avatars depend on supported devices, settings, language and region, network access and Apple’s system usage limits. These limits are controlled by Apple and do not turn Inflection Point’s purchase into a subscription. A lifetime purchase is not a promise of uninterrupted or unlimited AI generation.
Use Restore purchases on the Lifetime Access screen, or in Settings if you already have access, with the Apple account that owns an eligible purchase. The planned StoreKit release recognizes eligible verified earlier lifetime purchases and preserves historical local access preferences. A historical beta grant without an Apple purchase may not be recoverable through Apple restore alone or after reinstalling; contact support about that access. Reset does not revoke purchase ownership. The planned release does not offer a trial.
4. Your content, exports and reset
You retain ownership of your content and are responsible for it. The app stores the journey locally and does not provide an app-managed cloud-sync account. Apple device backups are separate platform services. The guided reset saves morning responses, daytime pattern checks and evening reviews in that local journey. You review and explicitly create a plan before the app adds its linked goals, projects, quests and Synthesis summary. Optional reminder times are managed separately in Settings.
Earlier Expo versions provide partial JSON export of identity, quests and daily logs. The earlier native beta already includes journey export during full access. The planned StoreKit release provides complete journey export, including saved guided-reset progress, reflections and applied-plan links, and an embedded avatar where available. These journal records are also included in local recovery backups. Export and recovery of existing data do not require a purchase. Purchase, historical preview/usage and reminder preferences are excluded from the journey export. Keep private copies safe. Native import replaces this device’s journey after confirmation.
Planned StoreKit Reset all data removes the local journey, including guided-reset responses, reviews and applied-plan records, and app-owned recovery copies, backups, avatars and local exports, while retaining purchase and historical preview/usage records. It does not remove exported copies elsewhere, Apple backups or provider-held records. Available edit and deletion controls differ by version.
The Privacy Policy describes local data, optional online processing and your choices.
5. Optional AI output
In the planned native release, optional daily AI debriefs use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework. They require an eligible iPhone, supported language and region, Apple Intelligence enabled and the model ready. The app does not upload debrief input for generation or use a cloud debrief fallback. Manual Quick Log remains available when AI is unavailable or a request fails.
Optional avatars use Apple’s system Image Playground after agreement to share selected text and identity context. The app offers Apple’s Illustration, Animation and Sketch styles without an external-provider style. On iOS 27, Apple’s image models use Private Cloud Compute, separate from the on-device debrief; no offline avatar-generation promise is made. Photo and camera choices remain alternatives. Earlier Expo versions and native betas used Rork for avatars and online debriefs; see the Privacy Policy for those version differences.
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for important decisions. Review the output and ensure you have the right to submit the content you use. Provider-specific retention, training and deletion terms have not been confirmed for historical Rork avatar requests and online debriefs; the Privacy Policy explains that limitation. Apple’s system generation has its own privacy information and availability conditions. Online generation depends on provider terms, capacity and availability. An alignment score is reflective feedback, not a clinical assessment or an objective measure of your worth.
6. Acceptable use and availability
Use the app lawfully. Do not exploit security weaknesses, interfere with normal operation or submit unlawful material to online services. Nothing here restricts rights granted by applicable law.
The app and online features are provided as available. Features may change, need updates or be unavailable because of device, network, provider or platform conditions. No uninterrupted-service or support-response-time guarantee is made.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the app is provided as-is and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. If you paid for the app, total liability will not exceed what you paid. These limitations do not exclude rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes and contact
We may update the app and these Terms. We will provide notice of material changes where required. Previous policies remain available for reference.
